Question:
Hello, I am hoping to get a recommendation for a solution. I have a komatsu dozer with a pintos hitch 2 horizontal plates, one several inches higher than the other with a hole between them that a large pin goes through both. I have a trailer with a 2 5/8inch ball hitch. I would like to pull the trailer with dozer without modifying the trailer hitch so I can continue using it with other towing vehicles. Is there a good solution? Thank you,

Since this is such a custom application, you will most likely need to fabricate something as we don't have a specific adapter. You may be able to put a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball like Curt Chrome Hitch Ball # C40007 in the upper hole of the clevis hitch on your Komatsu Dozer if the pin hole is big enough for the shank of the ball. The hitch ball shank is 1 inch in diameter and is 2-1/4 inches long.
The only other suggestion would be to try to weld a combo bar like Curt Combo Bar with 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver # C49360, to give you a hitch receiver with some options for applications. I've never been asked to mount a hitch to a dozer before, so I'm not sure if there is even a good place to weld this but I think it is your only solid option.
