Updated 10/21/2016 | Published 10/20/2016

Question:

I have a trailer I am building and it has 15inch tires. I am thinking about buying 2 of the HP29VR fenders for it but I do not know which brackets to buy to mount them to the frame. Thank you.

For the etrailer Single Axle Trailer Fender - 16 Gauge Steel - 14" to 15" Wheels, # HP46VR, I called the manufacturer because we don't carry a bracket for that width of fender. The manufacturer says that for that wide a fender, they don't have a bracket and that you'd have to have it custom fabricated. The closest thing we have would be the Smith Galvanized Steel Mounting Brackets for Trailer Fender- 13, 14, and 15 Inch Wheels, # CE26098G-2. This may give you some ideas on what you would need to fabricate.

I'd recommend the etrailer brand Single Axle Trailer Fender with Backing for 14 to 15 Inch Wheels, # HP36VR, then you would just weld the backing to the frame.
