Will the Yakima FatCat Mount Directly to the T-slot Channel?

Hi, is it possible to mount the Yakima Fatcat directly to the t-slot without an adapter similar to the way that Thule Snowpack will? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
The Yakima FatCat 6 Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier Y03088, or the Yakima FatCat 4 Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier Y03087, will fit directly to the T-Slot of your roof rack but only with the adapting hardware kit. The necessary hardware can only be found in the Replacement T-Slot Mounting Hardware for Yakima FatCat, # 8860085. I spoke with my contact at Yakima and confirmed this hardware is what you will need to mount the FatCat to your crossbar's T-Slot.
