Does the Yakima Ski Carrier T-Slot Hardware Kit # 8860085 Fit the T-Channel on TracRac Ladder Racks

Question:

I purchased a set of Yakima FatCat ski racks to mount to my Tracrac crossbars but the mounts that comes with the kit are not wide enough to mount to the crossbars. The Tracrac crossbars have a T-Channel in them. Will the T-Slot hardware kit #8860085 work on these crossbars?

I have a Whispbar WB401 kayak rack. I'm trying to install it on a TracRac with t-channel. I can't rotate the locking levers. I removed the end-cap and looked at it end on. The length of the T-arm is too short or the rubber pad on the underside of the assembly is too thick. The locking plate on the end of the arm is level with the T-channel, so it cannot be rotated. Are there any kits available to mate these two systems? Thank you

Unfortunately I don't believe there's any adapter hardware available to allow fitment of the WB401 carrier on TracRac Crossbars. With wider bars like these, another good option is a simple wraparound pad like the Thule # TH845000 that will support your kayak(s).
