I have attached a link to all of the trailer hitch options we offer for the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. The hitch I recommend for your Santa Fe Sport is the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch # C13152 because it will offer you a 2 inch hitch receiver, is rated for higher towing capacities, and has a bit easier install than similar hitches.

Keep in mind that your vehicle may be the limiting factor when it comes to towing capacities, but the # C13152 hitch is rated for 900 pounds tongue weight and 6,000 pounds towing capacity, with weight distribution the hitch is rated for up to 8,000 pounds.

I've attached an installation video of this hitch on a similar Santa Fe for you, as well as the written installation instructions.

If you are planning on towing with your Santa Fe, you will also want a wiring harness. If your vehicle does not have a factory tow package, the Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness # C56332 is the custom fit harness for your vehicle. To hitch the trailer, you will also want a ball mount kit, such as # 989900 to provide you with a number of towing set-up options.
