Question:
I have a very small space between the tank and the jack, therefore knowing the thickness will help me tell if this will fit.

I went out to the warehouse to measure the wall thickness of the propane tank cover # CAM40564 for you. I used digital calipers to take the measurement and came up with 0.10 inches thick. This is less than 1/8 but more than 1/16 of an inch if you want to look at it that way. The closest fraction would be 7/64 which is hard to determine on most measuring devices!
