Question:
Hi There- I have a 1998 Lexus LX470 with no tow package. Im trying to determine what parts I need for setting up a brake controller. Right now everything is stock aside from an aftermarket Curt hitch and 7 pin wiring connection plug for connecting my R-Pod travel trailer. These parts are currently in place and working. A brake controller unit came with the R-Pod, but Im not sure what cables I need to interface it with my 7-pin connection in the rear. What do you recommend? Thank you!

Since you have a brake controller already and a functioning 7-way all you need to wire the brake controller to the vehicle and 7-way is the install kit part # 5506. This comes with everything needed for powering the brake controller but you will also need 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot to connect the wire to the 7-way.
