The CIPA # CM11980 is a universal fit mirror that clamps onto your factory side-view mirror to extend your line of sight while you're towing. This would be the reason you were unable to find it in the custom fit section under towing mirrors for your 2016 Ram 1500.
This will fit a manual or powered mirror with a lip between the housing and the glass. Check out the installation video I have attached at the 1:14 minute mark. This will show the adjustable clamps the mirror uses to mount. I took a look at some trucks like yours and the mirror housing looks like it would be a good fit for the # CM11980.
For an up close look at the clamp check out # CM11980C.
This mirror is sold in a quantity of one so to a mirror on each side of your vehicle you will need to order 2.
I have linked the above mentioned part to this page for your viewing and purchasing convenience.
