Question:
Thank you for your response. My 2006 RAV4 does have an original 2inch hitch installed. I watched the video of the Curt hitch you recommended and it shows that the horizontal distance from the hole of the hitch to the vertical outer surface of the spare tire is about 6. It looks like my original hitch is installed in a way that that distance may be longer. I worry that this bike rack will not be able to be lifted in vertical position when not carrying any bike as the spare tire sticking out too much will be the the way. Is there a way that I can see a picture of similar year and model of my car with a rack installed and in vertical position? I worry that if it doesnt fit I will have to return it. How much is the shipping fee in case I have to return it? Thank you,

The Yakima Holdup 4 part # Y02443-2 can fit your 2006 Toyota RAV4 as long as you have a 2 inch hitch installed on it like the Curt # C13149. Aside from that no adapter would be needed.
I attached videos for the hitch and the bike rack for you to check out as well.
