Can Replacement Connecting Rod LG-XTB be Shortened

Question:

Hi. With the etrailer code: LG-XTB Replacement Connecting Rod, I noticed how long it was and I only need about 3 feet of rod. Do you sell this item at this length? If you do, what is the product number? Thank you so much for having the Trailer Hitch Coupler FC0200 available. I searched online for a long time couple of hours and troubled my significant other away from his cellular phone video game as he didnt know what I was talking about and told me I had to go to a bike shop. I completed shop class in grade school and my parents were very crafty considering they had to be cost efficient raising over 5 children. Thank you kindly for your time and craft/skill. Ms. Know It All??????

We don't have the part # LG-XTB available in the exact length you mentioned but it sounds like you wouldn't have any problem cutting it down to the size you do need and drilling new holes for the pins if needed.

If you are okay with a bit of modification this should work well for you.
