Question:
Please point me to a connector receptacle for my trailer to Dodge Durango, The trailer has a four pole one insulated male plug the 1996 Durango has a OEM circular six pole flat, not round poles in a circle male. I want the two female receptacle that both “plug” into to connect. I do not want to hard wire. Thank you.

It sounds like your Durango has what we call a 7-way blade type trailer socket, which is shown in the linked photo. This common trailer connector uses flat or blade type contacts. We offer adapters to join this type of connector to the 4-pole you have on your trailer and you can see all on the linked page.
For example, Pollak # PK12716 plugs in to your Durango's 7-way and provides a connection point for the trailer's 4-pole wiring harness. Others like the coiled-cable adapter # HM47065 and # HM47365 provide stress relief since they are flexible.
The linked article shows all types of trailer connectors, for your reference.
According to my research the Durango's first model year was 1998.
