ADVICE FOR PROPER BRAKE PUMP SYSTEM 20000LB TRAILER HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES

For your 20,000 pound trailer with disc brakes, I recommend the Titan BrakeRite I Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit, # T4813102. I spoke with my contact at Titan to be sure this part would work for your application. He stated that it would work well and also recommended using 1/4 inch brake line if the distance from the front axle to the trailer hitch is 16 feet or more. This larger line will help the response time of the brakes. I have included a link to the installation details for this actuator below.
If you do not already have a brake controller, you will need one in order for the BrakeRite to function. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, # 90885. This brake controller is designed to work with both electric and electric over hydraulic braking systems. I have included a link to the product details below.
I also recommend the Gel Cell Breakaway Kit for Titan BrakeRite Systems, # T4822100. This system will engage the trailer brakes should the trailer become detached from the tow vehicle. This kit does meet the Department of Transportation requirements.
