Hey Mike. The Deutsche Hydrapro Alpha G-1600 item # DH94FR and the DeeMaxx Alpha G1600 item # DE47SR have different fittings on them.

The DeeMaxx actuator item # DE47SR has a brass fitting/valve that connects to the main brake line, whereas the Hydrapro item # DH94FR has a zinc plated steel fitting. The brass seals better on the brake line fitting flare compared to the zinc plated steel. Brass is also known to provide a significant advantage over zinc plated steel when it comes to corrosion resistance.

That same DeeMaxx item # DE47SR actuator brass fitting is all one complete brass piece. The Hydrapro's zinc plated steel fitting is 2 pieces. The DeeMaxx item # DE47SR fitting being one piece provides a solidly constructed piece, that does not have some extra leak point in the middle of it like you see with the Hydrapro item # DH94FR.

The DeeMaxx actuator is sealed and rated for marine use due to this seal on the housing system.

What kind of trailer do you have?

Hey Mike, did you find the right actuator for your trailer? I'm curious to know if the information about the labeling helped you make a decision. Let me know how it worked out for you!

The Deutsche Hydrapro actuator is sealed, as is the Deemaxx actuator, and meets all IP67 water intrusion requirements. It also no longer uses the zinc-plated steel fitting and now uses a brass fitting instead.
