How Do You Know if Friction Bar Sway Control is Tight Enough or Too Tight

I just had the curt sway control adjustment How do I know if I have the curt sway control adjuster bolt too tight or too loose???

With friction sway control like # 17200 you know it is too loose if the trailer is still swaying. If it is too tight then when you turn it will make a lot of noise (some noise is common) and it may get damaged when you turn. Start out moderately tight and if you experience sway still tighten it a little more. You want to make small changes, test, and repeat until you get it just right.
