Question:
I know manipulation of the exhaust is required to install this receiver but can anyone tell me to what extent? 2006 Nissan Murano S

I spoke with the technical department at Curt Manufacturing and found that installation of the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, item # 13571, on the 2006 Nissan Murano S model requires lowering the exhaust on both sides of the vehicle, for installation of the hitch. You do not need to bend or manipulate the exhaust in any other way and when the install is complete you will return the exhaust to its factory position.
We have a video review of a hitch install on a 2006 Murano for you to check out. The installation of the Curt Hitch you selected will be very similar and uses the same mounting locations.
I have listed some items you may need to complete your towing setup.
Drawbar # C45010
Hitch Ball # 19260 or # 19247
Hitch Lock Kit # e99039
Pin and Clip # PC3
Wiring # C49KR
