Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 with Turnover Ball Gooseneck

Question:

We have a 2014 dodge 3500 with factory fifth wheel prep. And factory 25k fifth wheel hitch. Also we have a 2009 dodge 3500 with a BW turnover ball hitch installed. My question is that if we purchase standard rails or an adapter that uses the BW turnover ball, would the factory oem hitch be able to use the standard rails.? So that we would be able to utilize thw same hitch. Between the two different trucks, with minimal extra equipment. I have attached photo of the model of the hitch in question that we want to interchange between trucks. I have tried to attach more photos but i keep getting routed to a new question page.

There isn't an adapter available that can give you the same rails you have with the factory rail kit of your 2014 Ram 3500. Since you already have a hitch that fits that truck you would need a hitch to fit the 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 short bed.

For that you would want the part # BWRVK3400 that will fit the Turnover ball hitch you have and since it's a slider hitch it would give you the clearance needed to make tight turns when slid back.

While this is your only option it is a great one. The Companion hitches are a favorite in the RV community so I know you will like it.
