I recently purchased a Curt hitch C13315 and T1 wiring harness #118564 . What is the best and most direct route to the battery from the rear of my Mazda CX-5. The videos watched didnt show underwiring detail regarding this issue as avoidance of the heated exhaust and the elements is crucial!

The most direct route to run trailer wiring power wires for harness # 118564 on your 2016 Mazda CX-5 is to follow along a frame rail (there are likely other wires or lines you can wire tie the power wire to). Avoid any areas that might pinch or burn the wire such as suspension, exhaust, and engine components.
