Brake Controller and Install Harness Recommendation for a 2015 Ram 1500

Question:

I have a 2015 ram 1500 that I will be towing a 7500 camper with two axels , I just read that the harness would be #3024p and a suggested controller was a draw tire I command,. Will this work for my application? Also will i have to have the computer flagged so that the controller will work?

The correct install harness for a brake controller on your 2015 Ram 1500 is the part # 3024-P that you referenced but I would recommend a different brake controller.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
