Will a F2 winch work? It a hand winch. Thanks

The Dutton-Lainson winch mounting plate # DL24059 has the top 2 holes spaced 2-1/2 inches apart on center and the third hole in the middle is down 3 inches from the center line between the 2 top holes to the center of the third hole.
I measured the mounting plate on the Fulton F2 1.6K winch, # FW16000101. It has mounting slots and the top one is 2-3/4 inches wide but the big hole in the center slot is down just 2-1/4 inches from the center of the top slot. The center slot does continue down further and does reach 3 inches. So it is possible that this F2 winch can be made to fit the Dutton-Lainson plate.
