Question:
I started out on the Curt web site looking for this hitch. The Curt site does not list any hitch for my 2016 Sierra 2500HD. ETrailer.com is the only site that shows this hitch for my truck. Can you explain this? I need to be sure this is the correct hitch.

I checked with Curt and hitch # C15860 is listed in their application guide as a fit for your 2016 GMC Sierra 2500. The application guide is not the same as the fit guide. The application guide is more up to date and updated frequently. The fit guide on the other hand takes some time to catch up. I have linked a video showing an example installation of this hitch for you.
The recommended ball mount for this hitch is # C45456. It takes a ball with a 1-1/4 inch diameter shank such as # 63840.
