Question:
I need to swing my boat and trailer into my back yard, via an alley. Alley is 18 feet wide, boat is 20 feet long and total weight is 3,000 lbs. Alley and backyard is grass covered and alley is about 12inch to 14inch higher than yard but slope is 4:1. I have a 12 foot wide gate in the backyard so turning into or out of gate will be tight. Is the Trailer Valet 5X the appropriate dolly for my application?

Expert Reply:
The Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211, with its dual-speed operation and twin pneumatic tires, is an excellent choice for maneuvering your trailer through tight spaces such as your alley. Pneumatic tires will provide better traction on your grass surface that solid wheels and the choice of operating speeds means you'll have better control when making the required turns to get the trailer through your gate. The moderate slope will not present a problem to the Valet 5X thanks to its automatic braking system.
