Question:

I have a tracker boat trailer with 7 wires that breaks down to a 4 plus fitting. 3 whites 1 green 1 yellow and 2 brown. Can I wire this to a std 4 wire/plug or do I need to find a plug that matches what I have. At the end I need a 4 prong fitting

Based on the colors of the wires you have you could pretty easily wire a 4-way to your trailer. The part # A35W42B would work well. You would just need to match the colors of the connector to the wiring of your trailer. All of the whites would need to run to the single white wire of the 4-way but the rest of the wires would match right up.

The white is ground.
The brown is running light.
The green is right turn/stop.
The yellow is left turn/stop.

@Clark I'd just run them all to the same wire which is the main ground circuit.

@JamesonC I have this same issue, I tried what you suggested and it didn't work. Any other options?
