Question:

Will it fit behind my 2 propane tanks on my 2014 Jayco 24FBS? Does the top open up on hinges or does it slide off or lift off? I have no top clearance to hinge upwards.

The TorkLift # TLA7708R battery box you mentioned is 8-3/16 inches wide, so its fit behind your propane bottles will depend on how much space you have available. The top is hinged, as shown in the diagram I provided, because you have limited clearance, the box wouldn't be a good choice for you.

Using two of the Tow Rax # TWSP14BP boxes might be an option for you. The boxes measure 14 x 9 x 10-3/8 inches tall. The lid of the box is secured by latches that would allow you to easily remove the lid without much overhead clearance.
