Question:
Right now Im running 4 on 4 hubs with L44643 bearings front and back. Im wanting to move up to 15inch rims so Im looking to move to the 5 on 4.5inch hubs. and the only thing I really know about the axle is that they are NOT ez lube. The trailer is also for a small, lightweight skiff and not a very large trailer at all. Im thinking this hub should be what Im looking for, unless Im also missing something else I need to look into. Thanks

For a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern hub that's compatible with a spindle that uses the # L44643 as both the inner and outer bearing, I'd recommend the # AKIHUB-545-2-LF-1K from Axle Tech. The hub is compatible with 13-15 inch rims, so it'll work just fine for you. Races, bearings, grease cap and lug nuts are included.
The hub includes a # 34823 grease seal, which has a 1.249 inner diameter. To ensure this will work for you, use a digital caliper like # PTW80157 to measure the diameter of the spindle where the grease seal rides. That diameter should be 1.249 to 1.255 inches in diameter.
