Question:
Hello - I have a 2013 Honda CRV AWD that I will be towing behind my motorhome. I will be using a ReadyBrute towbar. What products will I need to complete the brake light wiring to my RVs brake/turn signal harness? I see you carry several brands and Im not sure which one to get. Also, dont I need some additional connection to plug in to my RVs socket? Which one would you recommend? I appreciate your help!!!

The tow bar wiring I recommend for your 2013 Honda CR-V is the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # HM56304. This is a custom-fit wiring harness that will plug into your vehicle wiring behind the taillights. I recommend this kit because of the ease of installation and the fact that the harness will prevent electrical feedback to protect your CR-V's electrical system. I have attached an installation video of this wiring harness on a similar vehicle as yours.
You are correct that it is likely you will need a wiring extenstion to connect your vehicle's wiring to your motor home's wiring. If your motor home has a 7-way blade-style connector, I recommend the Hopkins Nite-Glow Tow Bar Extension Cord with Socket # HM47044. The connectors on this exension will light up when the tail lights on the RV are activated to confirme the connection. This extension includes a 4-way round socket that will take the place of the 4-Flat connector on the # HM56304 harness. I have attached a review vide of this extension and socket for you.
You will want to wire the new 4-Way round socket to match the functions of the extension. To do this, I recommend using a circuit tester, like # PTW2993, to test the extension while it is plugged into the motorhome. You will then want to wire the left turn/stop wire, right turn/stop wire, ground, and taillight wires to match the locations of the functions on the extension.
I have attached a couple of help articles on flat towing for you.
