Question:
I am buying a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder that comes with tow package. It includes a 4-pin electric wire connector, but I need the 7-blade connector and the Electronic Brake Controller. What parts do I need?

For a 7-way to replace the 4-way trailer connector you have you would need the Curt Harness part # C56226 that comes with the 7-way and the needed wiring. You will need to cut off the 8-pin connector under the rear of your vehicle that this would normally plug into and then cut off the gray connector of this and hardwire the two together by function.
Then to install a Tekonsha brake controller like our super popular P2 part # 90885 all you would need is the correct install harness part # 3050-P.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
