Question:
got this trailer for free....basically replaced all the undercarriage tube steeleverything had oxidized to cardboard. I purchased 4on4 x10 inch wheel/tire from you guys..wheel diameter is approximately 21 inches...and lights/jacks etc...you guys were great! my dilemma: i want to replace the axle/hubs with the 2000lbs dexter/72inch axle kit 4on4 with e-zlube spindles....but the wheels will be UNDER the bed of the trailer. there doesnt seem to be an over-under kit to suit this condition. What do you suggest to make the radius of the center the axle to the underside of the trailer about 15? center

Since there isn't an over/under conversion kit for the 1-3/4 inch diameter round axles you would need to weld new spring seats, such as # TRSS175, to the top of the axle so you can mount the springs on top of the axle.
If this alone does not provide the height needed then you will need taller hangers to increase the distance even more. The tallest double-eye leaf spring hangers we have are # 115919 which measure 5-7/16 inches from the bottom of the trailer frame to the center of the spring mounting hole.
When I do the math assuming springs for a 2,000 pound axle I get 11 inches from the top of the axle to the bottom of the frame with this set up so still short of 15 inches. You would have to weld on extensions and then the hangers but I have to warn you that the taller you make this the less stable it is going to be.
If ground clearance is an issue then you can eliminate the axle and use a Timbren Axle-less system which has the suspension built-in such as # ASR2KHDS03, which will also raise the height of the trailer 4 inches.
