Compatibility of Curt and Reese Weight Distribution System Components

Question:

I would like to swap the trunion bars on my curt 800lb tw long bar, with the reese trunion 1200lb bars so i can use the straight line cams for sway control. are the bars interchangeable? or can I remove the square bars from there castings and swap the bars?

You will have to replace the head with the bars since the Reese bars will not fit into the Curt head.

At this point your best option would be to order a Strait-Line system part # RP66074 as it does not come with a shank (since you already have one) and it comes with the dual cam system you want plus bars and a head.

The shank of a Curt system is compatible with the head of a Reese system.
