I purchased a used dee zee tank and it came with a 2011-current Chevy/gmc feed kit. My truck is a 2010 model. Whats so different with the current gmc kit and the earlier gmc kit.?

Since you have a 2010 Chevy Silverado you would need to replace the connector kit that came with your tank (the # DZ97960 that you referenced), with the part # DZ97961 instead.
If you check out the design of the two part numbers mentioned you can see that either is designed to fit different setups due to the change of the vehicles in 2012.
