Question:

I have a Swagman XC platform for RV bumpers 64663. Can I use a hitch bar from a Swagman 64650 with this rack? I would like to be able to change the hitch bar and use my existing rack on a 1 1/4inch hitch, and be able to change it back for an RV bumper. If this would work, what part number do I need?

I have a potential solution for you but the shank for the regular XC, which is # P306, will not work with the RV-approved version # S64663. The # S64663 fits around a 2 inch square bar so the # P306 shank is not large enough at 1-1/4 inches square.

To use the # S64663 rack in 1-1/4 inch hitch you would need to use a hitch expander, # HTAD. But keep in mind that the use of the adapter will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent.
