Why will this not fit on ford extended cab V10 with 8 ft bed?

The Firestone Air Spring kit part # F2550 will not fit the Supercab V10 models with an 8 foot bed due to interference from the frame design of the truck.

Your best option would be a jounce style spring enhancement like the Timbren part # TFRTT350E which has been confirmed as a fit for your truck. The great thing about these kits is that they do not require any air line running or maintaining of air pressure. You install them and they are there when you need them and not when you don't.
