Question:
I just bought a 2015 Ford F-150 Supercab, 2WD, 145inch wheelbase and I tow a 2004 Fleetwood Pioneer Model 19T4 tow weight approx. 4500 lbs., tongue weight approx. 550 lbs.. When I hook up my trailer to the Ford, I notice about a 3inch sag at the coupler. I have two questions: 1 Do you think the Timbren TFR1502D would help this situation? and 2 how would you compare the Timbren to the Sumo Springs SSR-116-40 or SSR-116-47? Your thoughts please.

Sag at the rear of a vehicle such as your 2015 Ford F-150 can happen from 1 of 2 ways. First, weight in the actual truck bed can cause sag. Second, the tongue weight from a coupled trailer can cause sag.
The ways to deal with the sag are different. When sag is caused by a trailer the recommended solution is weight distribution, not helper springs. Weight distribution will more evenly distribution the force of the tongue weight to all of the axles on the tow vehicle and trailer so it treats the cause and not the symptom. Using helper springs would treat the symptom (the sag).
To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
If 550 pounds ends up being the total tongue weight I recommend a system rated for up to 800 pounds such as # FA94-00-0800 or # PS49582 (which is rated for 550 to 750 pounds). The Pro Series system comes with everything but for the Fastway system you would need to add a ball. I recommend # EQ91-00-6100 for a 2-5/16 or # EQ91-00-6080 for a 2 inch. I picked these systems specifically because they are near the same cost as some helper springs.
If you would still rather go with help springs then Timbren springs # TFR1502D will fit your 2015 Ford F-150 SuperCab and they can help with sag and improve the ride quality. The Timbren springs and SumoSprings are comparable in terms of how they function and there really isn't an advantage for one over the other except for the price.
