Question:
I am looking at the PW1042 cables for my Jimmy SUV with LT235/75-R15 tires. I noticed there is no LT or P indicator on the size chart. Does it matter? 1993 Jimmy S15 4x4 SLT 4 door.

Good news, I can help you with your tire chain inquiry.
The LT and P designations are important when selecting tires, because not all tires are equal, but not when selecting tire chains. The # PW1042 cables are a listed fit for your tire size, and are S Class compatible which means that they work well with low tire clearance. If you go with these chains I would highly recommend the # PW105 multi-arm adjusters. These adjusters will continue to perform even if one of the arms is compromised, unlike some of its competitors.
I have installed many chains and I recommend the Thule Self Tensioning Snow Chains # TH04115245 because of the super easy mounting and removal process. I have personally installed many of types of chains and love how easy these are, and how little snow I have to get on myself while installing them. They have a diamond pattern that will help with front to back as well and side to side traction, and they self tension and adjust so there will be no need to get back out of the vehicle and adjust after a few feet. These come with wheel protectors so you will not need any additional items.
If cost is a concern for you the Thule # TH01594245 still have the diamond chain pattern and self-tensioning features that the other Thule Chains have but with a little more of an involved mounting process. Another cost effective option are the Titan # TC2319 chains, they still have the diamond pattern feature and built in tensioners.
You will need to check the owners manual of your vehicle to determine if there are any restrictions on tire chain usage.
I have attached a few install videos of the chains I mentioned above for your convenience.
