Hello, Your website is great. Using your down guide I was shown a pair of snow chains for my 2013 Ford Escape SEL. I have 235/50 R18 tires and my user manual says NOT to use chains or cables on the vehicle. Before I make my purchase I want to confirm with you that the chains your website recommends will actually work on our car? Thanks,

The Thule Chains part # TH01571240 will fit the tire size you have on your 2013 Ford Escape SEL.

However, you will need to check with Ford to see if they will allow you to use the chains on your vehicle. In some areas you have to have chains to be able to get around so we realize the need for them even when the owners manual says not to use them.

If the reason they do not recommend the chains is due to inner wheel clearance issues you should still then be able to use the part # TH02230K45 as these chains do not require any inner wheel clearance since they do not drape on the back side of the tire.
