Does the Exhaust have to be Modified to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 1994 Lincoln Town Car

Many of the hitches that I have read about say that, relocation or modification to, th e exhaust system is required. The 94 Linclon has dual exhaust with mufflers located at the rear of the car. I definately want to mount a hitch on this car!

To install the Curt Trailer Hitch, # 13707, on a 1994 Lincoln Town Car, you should not have to modify the exhaust in order for this hitch to fit the vehicle. I have included a link to the installation details for this hitch below. They state that relocation of the passenger side exhaust bracket is required on 2003 and later Town Cars. I have also included a couple of installation videos showing the installation of this hitch on similar vehicles.
To complete your towing set up, I recommend the etrailer Ball Mounts, # EBMK4EL, that comes with an extra long ball mount and Convert-A-Ball interchangeable ball system. For trailer wiring, use Wiring, # C59496. I have included a link to the installation details below.
