Do the Ports of a Firestone Air Tank Need to Face Towards Ground

Question:
Using any of the firestone tanks with this kit as described in the video, it appears that the drain port would be positioned to the side instead of the bottom of the tank as the feet are turned facing the frame of the truck. Am I not seeing this right or is there another way of positioning the tank to allow for the drain port to be on the bottom of the tank? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
The ports on either end of the tank part # F9125 that is in the install video for the # F2496 are not drain ports. They are ports for air lines. They would not need to face down towards the ground.
You would just need fittings like the part # F3046-1 to thread into them so that you can attach air line.
