Question:
What parts do I need to install a hitch and receiver on my 2014 Ford Transit Connect? I want it only to use to attach a cargo basket carrier with 500 lb capacity. Thank you

For your 2014 Ford Transit Connect Curt trailer hitch # C13167 has the highest tongue weight capacity of any of the hitches that fit at 525 pounds. This is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver.
The hitch comes with the hardware so you will just need the tools! I have included a link showing an example installation and a link to the instructions for you.
The combined weight of the cargo carrier and the cargo in it cannot exceed the 525 pound tongue weight capacity of the hitch or the tongue weight capacity of the vehicle; whichever is lowest.
