Does the 10inch GOOSENECK EXTENDER HAVE TO HAVE AND EXTRA PIN INSTALLED FOR USE

According to B&W, the Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler # BWTEXA4200 adjustment holes are 7/8 inch in diameter. I'd recommend using the Draw-Tite # 58388 as a through pin. The pin is 6 inches long by 3/4 inches in diameter.
A pin is not included with the coupler.
