Tips for Routing Trailer Wiring Harness Power Wire on a 2014 Ford Mustang Convertible

Question:
2014 Ford Mustang convertible. Is there any way to avoid having to run the harness wire over the truck lid lip and route it through to a 4 prong female connector in a box hanging underneath the car for a neater installation?

There is no one specific way the power wire from a trailer wiring harness such as # C56088 or # 118487 has to be run on your 2014 Ford Mustang. It all depends on how you want to route the wire.
