Will Rack'em Manufacturing Lock'em Magnum Wheel Lock # RA-25 Work on Trailer with Brakes
Published 09/01/2015 >
Question:
I have a 2015 Diamond C flatbed utility trailer. It has tandem Dexter axles. The tires /wheels are ST225/75/R15. There are drum brakes at each wheel. I watched your video and you put the Rack-em RA-25 on a trailer with out brakes and it went on easy. My trailer has brakes. Will the RA-25 fit on a wheel with brakes?. As far as I can tell, there is about 3/4inch clearance between the brake and the wheel rim.

I spoke with my contact at Rack'em and for the best protection you will want to clamp the Lock'em Magnum Wheel Lock, # RA-25, together as close as possible. Since your trailer has a limited amount of clearance between the brakes and your rims you will just want to position the one side of the clamp through the rim and on the other side slide the clamp as close as possible to the rim/brake. Installing it in this way will still give you a good amount of theft protection.
