Updated 09/01/2015 | Published 08/31/2015 >
Question:
I have a utility trailer with straight axel. I notice that there is a hub that has four bolts that allows the trailer to use standard rims and tires that are good quality. I need those conversion hubs.

In order to find the correct hubs and drums you will need to know the capacity of the trailer axle and size of the bearings. If you disassemble the hub, you should be able to find the numbers stamped on the bearings.
If you are unable to find the numbers, you can use a precision tool like a digital caliper and measure the spindle in the locations noted in the attached drawing. We would need the B,C and D measurements. Once We get those measurements I can make some recommendations for you.
I have attached a link to a helpful article that explains how to replace the components on a trailer hub.
