My old truck required me to install a 30 AMP fuse in the fuse panel. Working on a 2011 Chevy diesel. No power to the + out if the truck at the 7 pin factory female plug. Thoughts?

On many Chevy and GMC trucks there are some connections that need to be made under the hood to make everything fully functional. I have included a link to a help article and in the latter half of it we explain these under-hood connections. the section you will ant to look at is called Finalizing Connections for the Brake Controller.
It is also possible that the 12 volt wire is not ran all the way to the back from the front of the truck. If that is the case you would need some wire, # 12-1-1, sold by the foot, and a 40 amp circuit breaker, # PK54540, to get power to the 12 volt circuit at the 7-Way.
