2014 Honda Accord V-6 Transmission Cooler Availability

Question:

I am wary of transmission issues with my newer 10,000 mile Honda Accord V-6 Touring. I change not flush the transmission fluid every 10,000 miles. a Is there a built-in transmission filter? b Living in blistering heat So Cal, would I benefit from a transmission cooler?

There will be a built in transmission filter on your 2014 Honda Accord. Changing the transmission fluid that often really wouldn't be necessary.

If you can find external transmission lines on your 2014 Honda Accord you can install a transmission cooler. For a vehicle like yours that won't be towing anything ever most likely you wouldn't really need one. But they can't hurt. The part # D13611 is a pretty small cooler that would work as long as you find external lines on your transmission. There are several transmission options for your vehicle including a CVT option so it would be pretty hard for me to know for sure what you have.

Taking your vehicle to a transmission shop would be your best option. They will help you find the filter and tell you if it's possible to install a cooler.
