4 Prong 30 amp Generator Adapter Recommendation for Connecting to RV
Published 07/31/2015 >
Question:
Generator - RV adapter. Generator is Honda EU7000IS. with Generator in 120 volt only mode...The 4 prong 240 volt connection is down to only 3 prongs working. Switch when in 120 volt only mode, turns power off to one prong on the 4 prong receptacle. Which adapter will work in that 4 prong receptacle to a 30 amp TT-30R receptacle so I can plug my Travel trailer in. Something tells me Honda did not use the standard. So, just want to know before buying the wrong adapter. Can you confirm which adapter I would need to power my 120 volt trailer off a Honda EU7000IS 4 prong twist lock receptacle when the generator is in 120 volt only mode? I dont want to get the wrong adapter. Reference the Honda EU7000IS owners manual on page 40 for more details on the generator. Thanks.

The Camco Generator Adapter part # CAM55382 that you referenced is designed to do exactly what you are looking to do. Connect a 30 amp generator output to an RV 30 amp connector. This adapter would work just fine with the Honda generator you have.
As long as both your RV and your generator use the 4 prong style connectors this adapter would work well for you. This is a 120 volt adapter so in that regard it would work as well.
