How Thick of a Door will the Redline Door Latch L3980 Fit

Question:
I am looking for a door latch that releases and locks, from the inside for a 2004 forest river utility trailer. Something you would find on an RV. I read questions other customers had. Is there somewhere on the trailer, or in the vin that would tell us the thickness of the door . Thank you

You are going to have to measure the thickness of your door. I wish there was a way to determine the thickness of a trailer door by looking at the VIN or elsewhere, but that info isn't something a trailer manufacturer would list somewhere since it's not super relevant for most people.
The part # L3980 will fit your door as long as it's up to 1-1/16 inches thick.
