Question:
Please help. I need replacement surge brake assembly rightside for my loadrite boat trailer. Present actuator has a reverse lever. Brakes are 10inch 2 1/4, I believe the present set is uni-servo. Please suggest replacement. Maybe you can also help me understand what failed on this brake. Springs where all broken pads looked good. Manual adjuster was also broken. Thanks

There are many possible reasons why your brake could have failed. It is hard to specify why yours may have failed.
I recommend checking the reverse lock-out on your actuator to make sure it is working properly. Backing up with your trailer connected if your reverse lock-out isn't functioning could be why your brakes failed. If the lock-out isn't working, you could use the Demco Hydraulic Drum Brake Assembly - Free Backing # 40716, # 40715. These brakes would allow you to back up with your trailer, regardless of if your lock-out works or not.
If your reverse lock-out is fine, I suggest using the Demco Hydraulic Self-Adjusting Drum Brake # DMSB24428M, # DMSB24429M. These brakes will never need to be manually adjusted. You can simply hook up your trailer and go, without worrying about adjusting your brakes.
Both of these brake assemblies are galvanized and will be great to use on your boat trailer.
I understand only the right-side brake assembly is broken. However, we usually recommend replacing the brake assemblies on both sides at the same time. This way, you won't end up replacing the other side's assembly in a few months. You can get all of the work done at one time. Replacing both sides also allows you to know that all wheels have functional brakes.
