Do Rightline Roof Clips RL100600 Touch Interior Panel

Question:
I purchased the Rightline car clips for my 2015 Nissan Altima - and not sure if they fit? We tried to position them on the door - but they do not hook properly. When we close the door - they stay in place - but the inner lining of the door is in the way and gets squeezed. Not sure if they were the right item? We have a soft carrier for the roof and want to make sure we have the right item. Can you help?

If you check out the picture I attached of the part # RL100600 that you referenced you will see that the interior panel does get squeezed a bit when used.
