Hitch and Rack for Electric Bikes Recommendation for 2012 Hyundai Accent

Question:

Can you make a recommendation we are looking for a 2 bike carrier for our 2012 Hyundai accent, we have 2 E bikes and they are heavier than most bikes around 50 pounds each with batteries. We were told we had to get a 1 1/4 inch hitch , I am seeing some weight limits on some of the 2 bike racks of 35 pounds each, any suggestions?

Starting with the hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class I hitch, part # 24884.

You are correct that the weight of your bikes narrows the bike rack possibilities down quite a bit. If you could easily remove the battery pack from one or both bikes to remove enough weight to lower the combined weight of both bikes to 90 lbs, we offer a rack that would be perfect for you.
