Parts Needed to Add a Third Brake Axle to a Trailer
Question:
Hi, good afternoon. I have a 2009 triple axle Loadrite trailer, looking to swap over to this kit. Is this kit available without the SS caliper brackets? I suspect all I need is rotors, calipers and caliper mounting bolts. My trailer has existing weld on brackets that are still in good shape and these brackets I believe, would not be needed. The trailer only has brakes on the fwd 2 axles, and I would be adding brakes to the rear axle, so I expect I would also need a crossover brake line, and a feed line from one of the other calipers. Thanks,

To tee into your current brake setup you would need the part # T0778500. This would need to get added to the main brake feed line of your trailer. From there you would want to use a single axle trailer brake line kit like the part # DM5402. Basically everything from this kit would get used minus the long brake line. Basically the tee that you add in will go to the new brake assemblies and then using a flex line like part # BH-3MFS-1 back to the original axle lines.
For stainless rotors you would want part # KR12S, stainless calipers # KDBC225S, and the bolts come with the calipers.
