Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Kodiak 12 Inch Rotor. If you need a replacement for a rotor that's gotten worn out or damaged, this is going to be a great fit for you. I'll go over the measurements with you in just a minute to make sure it's the right fit for your particular application. It's a good idea to get a rotor for either side of your trailer so that you're replacing both at the same time. That way they can wear the same amount and you're not going to get a better or worse performance from one side versus the other. So it's a good idea to at least get these in pairs, if not to do the whole trailer at once.
So just something to keep in mind there. If one's bad, probably other ones are bad too. So check that out.As far as what this actually fits, you can see that it is a slip on over the hub rotor. Makes it pretty easy if you're converting an idler axle to a disc brake axle. It is a heavy-duty stainless steel construction so we don't have to worry about any rust or corrosion.
It's great for any kind of marine use. This can be in the water and you don't have to worry about any rust building up.The design is to allow heat to escape so we'll have this vented design here and that just helps to dissipate out the heat, so it doesn't get any kind of heat-related damage. It does have a 1000-hour salt spray rating. Again, going back to it being great for a marine application, even if you're going in seawater or saltwater. As far as the axle that this will fit, it can work with an axle capacity of 5200 pounds up to a 6,000 pound axle and works with wheel sizes 15 inch and larger. The bolt pattern here is six, you can see, will have six holes and they're separated by five and a half inches going from center of one hole to the center of the one directly opposite.
As far as the size for the diameter, the outer diameter so from here to here is about 12 and an eighth inch. The inner diameter is about seven and 11 sixteenths. The bolt hole diameters are a half inch. And that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the Kodiak 12 Inch Rotor with 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern. I hope this has been helpful deciding if this is going to be the right part for you. We do have a lot of accessories and parts here at etrailer.com for any kind of trailer needs.
So check them out. Thanks for watching.

Great products. Fit perfect
Great Product
I use this boat trailer exclusively in the ocean, and after one year these stainless steel brake components are performing beautifully. I replaced everything down to the spindle, and the before photo shows what seawater does to inferior components. Expensive but more than worth it in safety and performance.
Recommended Item for Boat trailers saltwater environments!!!
So it's been a year now, and I love it! With saltwater boating, there's already enough things to worry about breaking, so it's nice to have the peace-of-mind of knowing that I don't have to worry about my corroding brake parts. Sure, it's expensive, but after replacing a few rotors, the break-even point is quickly realized. After one year, they still work well and look great.
The stainless steel rotors and stainless steel brake pads were delivered on time and in good condition. Installation went smoothly and the brakes are working well. The trailer will be dunked in saltwater regularly so stainless steel should not rust like the previous pads. The old pads still had plenty of wear left but they rusted and the pads separated from the backing plate. The outside pads fell completely out of the caliper. If given the opportunity will provide an update after some use.
Should have bought these this first time! I bought Kodiak dacromet coated rotors three years ago and had to replace them due to corrosion. Rotors calipers and pads are immersed in salt water weekly and even though I always wash everything to flush salts off rotors and pads still fell apart. However SS calipers are spotless with no rust so I finally broke down and spent the extra money on SS all the way
After 1 season with 1 axle stst rotors and 2 axles regular steel
You can clearly see the stst rotors are still in good shape and the steel rotors will need to be replaced soon
I will be replacing them with stst
Parts were in perfect condition and packing box looked like barely touched ( no damage) Thanks for the great service!! Aloha from Oahu hawaii!!
